I hate to say this, but when I was a first time Mom, I was totally vain!
I do not have one picture with my beautiful daughter on Mother’s Day, the day we celebrate the unconditional love of mother’s for her children until she was 4 years old!
Why?
Because I wasn’t thin enough.
I hadn’t lost my pregnancy weight.
I thought I needed to look perfect to be in the pictures with my daughter.
How I wish I could go back in time and jolt myself awake!
My lovely daughter never cared about my weight or the double chin or any other insecurities that I carried around.
She loved me regardless.
Unconditionally!
I wish I would have loved myself half as much as my daughter did and gotten in the frame with her.
However I am glad I came to my senses when I did and since then have celebrated Mother’s day with my kids and captured the immense love I feel for them in the pictures that are now my prized possessions.
